The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification 40x
Magnification 1000x
Magnification 2500x

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

The M200-PZ adds basic polarization to one of our most popular student microscopes. The use of polarized light can pronounce details in certain specimens that would otherwise remain invisible. This is primarily used for studying translucent minerals, fatigued materials, and bodily fluids.

Unlike many microscopes in its class, the M200 uses DIN industry-standard optics, making it compatible with a large selection of objective lenses and eyepieces. All of the necessary functionality is present in an intuitive form factor which is ideally suited for classroom use. The microscope uses a traditional layout which is beneficial for students and other first-time users.

The monocular head keeps things simple. The use of a single eyepiece means that no adjustments are necessary for eye alignment or symmetrical focus. The head can rotate 360° for viewing from different positions. Interchangeable eyepieces allow you to change the overall magnification with optional lenses, or use a camera in place of the eyepiece to view microscopic images on a computer monitor or other display.

The objective turret provides instant access to 3 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 400X. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

The stage is equipped with two clips for holding slides and other specimens in place. For polarization, the clips are used to hold a specialized stage-plate in place. This plate polarizes the microscope’s light, which can bring out invisible details in certain types of specimens like birefringent crystals. A second polarizer fits over the eyepiece for cross-polarization.

The microscope uses independent focus knobs to control coarse and fine adjustments. An adjustable limit-stop mechanism can be used to prevent the lenses from making contact with specimens, preventing damage to the lenses and glass slides.

The microscope is equipped with bright halogen illumination to light the specimen. The sub-stage lamp emits full-spectrum light with a warm color-temperature to limit strain on the eyes. The height-adjustable light-condenser precisely focuses light onto the specimen, with an iris-diaphragm to control contrast and focus depth.

  • The M200-PZ adds basic polarization to one of our most popular student microscopes.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 1.3MP digital eyepiece camera. The compact, lightweight camera can be used in place of an eyepiece to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

  • The M200-PZ adds basic polarization to one of our most popular student microscopes.

An additional 16X eyepiece expands the maximum magnification to 640X with 6 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and some bacteria.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 0.3MP digital eyepiece camera.

An additional 20X eyepiece expands the maximum magnification to 800X with 6 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and some bacteria.

The height-adjustable light-condenser precisely focuses light onto the specimen, with an iris-diaphragm to control contrast and focus depth.

• The M200-PZ adds basic polarization to one of our most popular student microscopes.

An additional 25X eyepiece expands the maximum magnification to 1000X with 5 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and some bacteria.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 0.3MP digital eyepiece camera.
