This is an upgraded T400-30W with an oil-immersion darkfield light condenser and a specialized 100X darkfield objective lens, intended for professional and advanced classroom use. The microscope's versatile lighting options accommodate fixed and unfixed live cells, and provide contrast enhancement. This 30-watt halogen version provides 50% brighter illumination compared to the standard T400, ideal for contrast-enhancement techniques such as darkfield. The trinocular head can be customized for each user, with a sliding interpupillary adjuster for varying eye spacing, and diopters for both eyes to fine-tune focus for nearsighted users and for asymmetry. Interchangeable eyepieces allow for an expanded magnification range, or the use of special eyepieces with pointers and measuring reticles.
