Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

The HDM-A18125 is a perfect match for your single-lens or stereo microscope setup. This 1080p monitor can be used with virtually any HDMI-equipped camera including our wide selection of HD and UHD cameras. It’s equipped with a mounting arm to attach directly to a 1.25” (32mm) post, like most of our stereo microscope supports. Slide it onto the vertical post of our single-arm or double arm boom-stands, or any of our professional tabletop pillar stands. Now you have a 12.5” HD monitor right in front of you.

The monitor has 2 HDMI inputs for the video feed. For USB powered cameras, the monitor provides 2 powered USB ports to help eliminate some of the cabling spaghetti. The arm can be swiveled and locked, and the monitor is hinge-mounted so it can tilt forward and backward. The screen uses IPS technology, so is works just fine for off-axis viewing, retaining brightness and color-accuracy.
