>> How to Buy A Microscope

SELECTING A COMPOUND MICROSCOPE is as easy as 1-2-3...

Select the type of microscope you need or your industry

Select by type of microscope - Our Compound Microscope Assortment has been divided into major categories to make your shopping easy.

These categories include:

Brightfield, Darkfield, Phase-Contrast, Inverted and others

Choose a business application or industry to find the right compound microscope. Major industries or applicatins include:

Veterinary, Laboratory Use, Teaching, Metallurgical, Gemology and many others

Select a Magnification

AmScope offers an industry-leading selection of magnifications. All products are in-stock and usually ship the same day ordered

Select a Camera

We offer a wide variety of Cameras for every application - from student to professional use:

Select a type of camera - Eyepiece, USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 - to name the most popular choices

Choose the Megapixels of the camera - the higher the megapixel count on a camera sensor the greater the amount of detail that can be captured in an image

The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification 40x
Magnification 1000x
Magnification 2500x

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • Designed for fluorescence microscopy, this microscope uses a high-power arc-lamp to cover a wide excitation range.
  • The inverted format is a stable, ergonomic platform for cell cultures, multi-well plates, and larger specimen containers.
  • Four plan-fluor objective lenses and two sets of eyepieces provide seven unique magnifications ranging from 40X to 1000X
  • Specialized 10X and 20X objective lenses are included for phase-contrast applications.
  • Includes a 3MP SCMOS camera and specialized microscopy software for PC

The IN300T-FL is an inverted fluorescence microscope built for professional laboratories and universities focused on live-cell studies and a range of genetic research. It provides all of the necessary features for fluorescence, brightfield, and phase-contrast microscopy in an intuitive and economical design.

The microscope uses an infinity-corrected optical system with an expanded magnificatin range of 40X to 1000X. The four plan-fluor objectives lenses provide high-resolution, color-corrected images with edge-to-edge sharpness. The 10X and 20X lenses can be used in conjunction with the provided phase-annulus plate for phase-contrast.

For fluorescence applications, a 100W mercury-vapor arc lamp provides a powerful, broad-spectrum light-source for excitation. The included blue and green excitation filter blocks cover a large range of popular fluorophores. Optional ultraviolet and violet excitation filters are also available.

The inverted format provides a platform for a wide range of vessels, including slides, culture dishes and flasks, and Terasaki plates. A camera can be easily mounted to the dedicated photo port for a live video feed and digital imaging. A wide range of cameras is available, including CCD and back-illuminated CMOS models designed specifically for low-light applications.

The 3MP color sCMOS camera is designed for low-light applications. It captures still images and video, and allows you to view a live stream on your PC. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while capturing high-definition images.

Mercury HBO Excitation

Mercury HBO lamps produce a wide spectrum of wavelengths, including ultraviolet. While this fluorescent light-source can excite fluorophores throughout its entire spectrum, there are peak wavelengths with optimal output. The included filter blocks will accommodate a wide range of fluorophores, although the nature of mercury arc lamps limits effectiveness outside of the peak wavelengths.
