The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification 40x
Magnification 1000x
Magnification 2500x

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • This specialized stereo microscope is designed for laboratory use, with oblique lighting for IVF transplants. It's ideal for fertilization clinics and animal breeders.
  • The high-quality optics produce stunning contrast and accurate colors with a viewing area of up to 32.8mm.
  • The 6.7:1 parfocal zoom range provides magnifications up to 45X while maintaining a 4" working distance.
  • Use the trinocular photo-port to attach optional imaging devices. Images can be captured and measured on a computer, or streamed to a monitor or television.
  • The dual-purpose illuminator can be used as both a transmitted and reflected light source. It can be used for a wide range of lighting scenarios above or below the specimen.
  • A rotating mirror below the stage provides directional lighting to outline translucent membranes.

This specialized version of our ZM series stereo microscope is designed for laboratory use, including fertilization. The modified base and lighting provide crucial illumination to facilitate work such as embryo-transplantation. The dual-purpose illuminator can be used as both a transmitted and reflected light source. By mounting the lamp to the sub-stage base, light can be transmitted through the specimen at various angles to create oblique lighting. This crucial feature helps outline translucent membranes with shadows, creating the detail needed to perform injections. Additionally, the lamp can be mounted on a separate base for reflected top-lighting. A flexible arm allows easy adjustment of the height and angle.

The ZM6745 is our premium Greenough stereo microscope, with improved optics resulting in increased resolution. It provides high contrast with accurate colors and excellent field flatness, with a viewing area of up to 32.8mm. The 6.7:1 parfocal zoom range provides magnifications up to 45X while maintaining a 4" working distance. Interchangeable eyepieces and auxiliary lenses can increase the magnification up to 225X. Sliding interpupillary adjusters provide a custom fit for each user, and built-in left and right diopters ensure sharp focus for users with certain vision impairments. Comfort is further enhanced by the 45° viewing angle, as well as high-eyepoint eyepieces which accommodate glasses and goggles.

The microscope also features a switched trinocular photo-port for attaching an imaging device without the need to replace one of the eyepieces. The photo-port is especially useful for attaching a video-capable camera for a live video stream that can be projected on a television or monitor. Our unmatched lineup of cameras offers endless possibilities, including computer-based imaging and measurements, time-lapse capture, and wi-fi or LAN networking.

The sturdy, track-style stand uses a fully-integrated focusing rack for precise positioning. Focusing tension can be adjusted for improved smoothness or increased hold. The surfaces have been treated with an enamel coating to make cleanup easier and prolong the instrument's life.
