Returns

1. 1. What is your returns policy?

   At AmScope, we offer a 30-day return policy from the date you receive your order. To receive a full refund, items must be returned in New and Original Condition, with all parts, accessories, and original packaging included.

   Please note the following conditions:

   • Items missing original packaging or instruction manuals will incur a 20% restocking fee.
   • Items that have been damaged during use (e.g., scratched, chipped, broken parts), disassembled, or tampered with will not be accepted for returns or refunds.
   • The return policy does not cover ordinary wear and tear, or damage caused by improper use or accidents.

   Non-Returnable Items:
   Microscope slides, coverslips, and eye guards are non-returnable.
   Items marked final sale are not eligible for returns.

   To initiate a return, please contact us within 30 days to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. An RMA number is required to process refunds. To request an RMA, please click here.
   
   We recommend using the original packaging materials to ensure the product is secure during return shipping. If you don’t have the original packaging, please add sufficient padding (paper or shipping peanuts) to prevent movement during transit.

   Customers are responsible for the cost of the return shipping label unless the product is defective.

2. 2. What should I do if items are missing or I received the wrong items?

   If you notice any items missing from your order or receive incorrect products, please contact us right away. Before reporting missing items, carefully inspect all packaging materials to ensure they weren’t overlooked. Once you've confirmed something is missing or incorrect, reach out to our customer service team. We will promptly investigate the issue and, if verified, will arrange to ship the missing or correct items to you as quickly as possible.

3. 3. What should I do if I receive a defective item?

   If you receive a defective product, please contact our Customer Service Department right away. To help us assess the issue, we may ask you to provide photos or videos showing the defect. Once we have reviewed the evidence, we will guide you on the next steps, including arranging for a replacement of the defective item.

4. 4. How do I return my purchase?

   If you’d like to return an item, please complete our [RMA form](link to form) to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Once your return is approved, you will receive instructions on how to ship your order back to our warehouse.

   Please Note: Items returned without an RMA# will be sent back to the sender at your expense. Make sure to obtain an RMA# before shipping any products to us to avoid delays or additional costs.

5. 5. I want to return my item. Do I have to pay for shipping?

   Yes. Unless your item is defective, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number.

6. 6. Where is my refund? When will my credit appear on my account?

   We process returns within 5 - 7 business days after we receive the returned item. Refunds will be issued in the form of the original payment. Credits will appear on your account approximately 48 hours after we process your return.
