The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification 40x
Magnification 1000x
Magnification 2500x

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • Watch stunning 4K real time video while you work. With 4X the resolution of 1080p, 4K provides unrivaled clarity.
  • Back-illuminated sensor for high sensitivity and improved performance
  • Standalone operation with built-in recording lets you record 4K video and 8.3MP photos while you work, using Secure Digital media or a USB flash drive.
  • Connect directly through USB, or to your network using the gigabit Ethernet interface or 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi so you can capture images from your PC.
  • Advanced software for Windows offers editing/processing and advanced features including stitching and focus-stacking
  • A USB mouse, HDMI cable, and SD card are included for stand-alone operation. Navigate the built-in software, and capture photos and videos without a computer.

The HD428 brings 4K Ultra-HD resolution and the high performance of back-illuminated CMOS technology to your microscopy system. With four times the resolution of 1080p HD, this camera will provide sharper images with greater detail on 4K displays. Well suited for compound and stereo microscopes, the HD408 will provide real time video over HDMI to a monitor or television at a smooth 60fps. Whether you're working in quality control or monitoring a long term experiment, you can watch with unrivaled clarity.

Back-illuminated CMOS

The highly-sensitive BSI CMOS sensor uses a new, more-efficient design to capture more light for improved detail and color. The back-illuminated sensor allows you to push the sensitivity much farther without degrading the image, resulting in faster captures and better overall results. This makes the sensor ideal for lower-emission fluorescence and other low-light applications.

Flexible Imaging Solution

A powerful image capture system lies at your fingertips. The HD428's internal recording system allows you to capture 4K videos and photos up to 8.3MP with the click of a mouse. The camera can record to Secure Digital media or a USB flash drive, eliminating the need for a computer. Built-in software provides image processing and measurement tools for a complete standalone experience. Alternatively, you can connect the camera through USB, LAN or wi-fi, and control and capture with your PC. Our dedicated microscopy software provides an expansive range of professional tools, including time lapse, stitching, and focus stacking. Now, anyone on the network can access the camera for a new level of convenience.

The camera uses a standard C-mount interface to connect to a wide range of microscopes and lenses. For microscopes with 23mm photo ports, you can pair the camera with an optional 0.75X lens to optimize the field-of-view.
