>> How to Buy A Microscope

SELECTING A COMPOUND MICROSCOPE is as easy as 1-2-3...

Select the type of microscope you need or your industry

Select by type of microscope - Our Compound Microscope Assortment has been divided into major categories to make your shopping easy.

These categories include:

Brightfield, Darkfield, Phase-Contrast, Inverted and others

Choose a business application or industry to find the right compound microscope. Major industries or applicatins include:

Veterinary, Laboratory Use, Teaching, Metallurgical, Gemology and many others

Select a Magnification

AmScope offers an industry-leading selection of magnifications. All products are in-stock and usually ship the same day ordered

Select a Camera

We offer a wide variety of Cameras for every application - from student to professional use:

Select a type of camera - Eyepiece, USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 - to name the most popular choices

Choose the Megapixels of the camera - the higher the megapixel count on a camera sensor the greater the amount of detail that can be captured in an image

The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification 40x
Magnification 1000x
Magnification 2500x

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • Inverted design lets you view liquids, crystals, and much more!
  • 40X to 200X magnification, expandable with additional eyepieces

A great, easy-to-use microscope for kids & young adults!

IQCrew’s Science Discovery Series is designed to inspire kids to learn more about science. Microscopes are important tools which help children understand science and nature by allowing them to peek into the microscopic world, which is why they are a standard component of STEM curricula. Biology, Chemistry, Geology, and many more fields rely on microscopes to understand how things work.

Magnifications: 40X, 100X, and 200X!

The high-quality lenses provide true optical magnification, from 40X to 200X. The standard interchangeable eyepieces allow for an even wider range of magnifications.

Uniform Pattern with LED Illumination

The built-in illumination can create very interesting effects, such as dark-field or oblique lighting. The low-heat LED light is safe, long-lasting, and durable.

Dual usage with slides and liquids

Our new inverted design provides a big advantage over conventional microscopes, by allowing both traditional specimen slides and liquids to be used.

Hands-on experiment for your budding scientist!

In the Frost Crystals Experiment included in the manual, kids can observe commonly used Epson Salt grow crystals. Detailed instructions and step-by-step instructions lead the way as your child gains valuable hands-on experience in the scientific method, visual analysis, note-taking, scientific procedure and more. They could even share their results at the school science fair!

Our new inverted design provides a big advantage over conventional microscopes, by allowing both traditional specimen slides and liquids to be used. By moving the microscope's lenses under the specimen stage, there's plenty room on top. A Petri dish can be used to hold liquid samples like pond water, hatching brine shrimp, or growing crystals. The inverted design also lets you adjust the focus without moving the stage, which could disturb the specimen.

How close up do you want to see things? The IN50 has 3 magnifications: 40X, 100X, and 200X! The high-quality lenses provide a wide range of true optical magnification.

To get things started, this learning kit includes some prepared slides for viewing right out of the box. It also includes materials to prepare your own samples, like a Petri dish and blank slides. There is a graduated cylinder for measuring, and a pipette for easily transfering liquid samples. Forceps, a probe, and a stirring rod are also included for preparing and positioning specimens.
