Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

The 32MP MU3203-BI is part of our back-illuminated CMOS camera series. Back-illuminated CMOS sensors provide higher quantum-efficiency by moving the photo-diode layer in front of the electronic components, increasing photon-absorption. This allows a much higher gain with minimal image-noise. Images can be captured with shorter exposure times and faster framerates. The high-resolution sensor captures incredible detail with accurate colors.

This camera uses a 1.15" format sensor, and is ideally suited for use with microscopes with C-mount photo ports. It can be paired with our RU100 1X compensating lens to mount in 23mm ocular tubes, but some vignetting may occur.

The included software for Windows, Mac, and Linux provides an imaging solution for photography and videography. The Windows (XP/Vista/7/8/10) version provides an extensive toolset for image-processing and measurements. A lite version of the application is provided for Mac and Linux.
