The dual monocular head is somewhat unique, providing two viewing ports which can be used simultaneously. The main viewing port uses a simple design, requiring no adjustment. The second port is designed for a second user or a camera, and has height adjustment to ensure the focus matches the main port. The head can swivel 360° depending on your preferred working position.
The objective turret provides instant access to 3 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 400X. An additional 25X eyepiece expands the maximum magnification to 1000X with 5 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and some bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.
The stage is equipped with two clips for holding slides and other specimens in place. The microscope uses independent focus knobs to control coarse and fine adjustments. An adjustable height-limit mechanism can be used to prevent the lenses from making contact with specimens, preventing damage to the lenses and glass slides.
The microscope is equipped with bright incandescent illumination to light the specimen. The sub-stage lamp emits full-spectrum light with a warm color-temperature to limit strain on the eyes. An aperture wheel is integrated into the stage, providing multiple apertures to customize contrast and depth.
Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 5MP digital eyepiece camera. The compact, lightweight camera can be used in place of an eyepiece to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.
