The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification 40x
Magnification 1000x
Magnification 2500x

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

This is an upgraded T590 with both brightfield and darkfield lighting. The heavy-duty design will hold up to years of hard use, and is supported by a large set of accessories including epi-fluorescence, phase-contrast and darkfield kits. The included darkfield condenser allows for darkfield illumination when working with blood or other fluids, and live cells when using objectives up to 60X. This instrument is ideal for scaling laboratories and scholastic demonstrations.

The microscope's head is uses a trinocular designed, with a binocular viewing platform and a third port intended for mounting a camera. Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment allows any user to easily align the oculars for comfortable viewing. For users with astigmatism or asymmetrical vision, the right ocular has dioptric adjustment to fine-tune focus. The switched trinocular port provides a dedicated mount for a camera to record photos or videos, and is height-adjustable to match focus with the eyepieces. The ocular tubes are set to a 30° incline, and can be rotated 360° to accommodate viewing from various positions.

The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. The turret's reversed orientation provides more working room above the stage. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

The 2-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimen slides. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Examining specimen slides is intuitive and precise for users at any skill level.

Halogen sub-stage lighting provides bright illumination with excellent color rendering. The warm lighting is better suited for prolonged use, causing less eyestrain than LED or fluorescent lighting. The Abbe light condenser has a high 1.25 numerical aperture for oil-immersion, and an iris diaphragm to optimize contrast and depth-of-field. A swing-out filter holder can be used to mount a color filter for band-isolation or to change the light's hue. The condenser holder uses rack-and-pinion movement for precise height adjustment.

Darkfield

A dry darkfield condenser is included for darkfield observation using the 40X objective lens or lower. Darkfield observation will provide contrast in otherwise indistinguishable objects by highlighting changes in refractive index. This is particularly useful for observing live cells including blood analysis. With a 0.9 numerical aperture, the condenser works with non-immersion lenses. Two centering screws allow you to properly center the condenser for optimal contrast.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 3.1MP USB2.0 camera. The highly-sensitive back-illuminated sensor is designed for improved low-light imaging, making it suitable for fluorescence and darkfield microscopy. A 0.37X reduction lens is included to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

  • This is an upgraded T590 with both brightfield and darkfield lighting.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 6.3MP USB3.0 camera. The highly-sensitive back-illuminated sensor is designed for improved low-light imaging, making it suitable for fluorescence and darkfield microscopy. A 0.5X reduction lens is included to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 2MP USB2.0 camera. The ultra-sensitive back-illuminated sensor is designed to excel at low-light imaging, making it ideal for fluorescence and darkfield microscopy.

Additional 16X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 1600X with 8 unique levels.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 3.1MP USB3.0 camera. The highly-sensitive back-illuminated sensor is designed for improved low-light imaging, making it suitable for fluorescence and darkfield microscopy. A reduction lens is included to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

Additional 20X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 2000X with 8 unique levels.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 1.2MP USB2.0 camera. The ultra-sensitive back-illuminated sensor is designed to excel at low-light imaging, making it ideal for fluorescence and darkfield microscopy.
